Pineau des Charentes – The Perfect Cocktail Ingredient

Smoky Velvet Charentes

Ingredients:

  • 1.5 oz Pineau des Charentes
  • 1.5 oz MONTELOBOS Mezcal
  • 1 oz honey simple syrup
  • 0.75 oz fresh lime juice
  • 1 pasteurized egg white (0.75 oz)
  • Grated nutmeg for garnish
  • Ice

Instructions:

  • Add Pineau, mezcal, honey syrup, lemon juice, and egg white to a shaker
  • Dry shake vigorously (no ice) for 30 seconds to create a creamy froth
  • Add ice and shake again until chilled
  • Strain through a fine mesh strainer into a coupe glass
  • Garnish with a light dusting of freshly grated nutmeg

 

Pineau Rosé Bliss

Ingredients:

  • 2 oz Pineau des Charentes
  • 0.5 oz fresh lime juice
  • Fresh muddled mint
  • 0.5 oz raspberry syrup
  • 0.5 oz cranberry juice
  • Rosé sparkling wine
  • Fresh raspberries (garnish)
  • Ice

Instructions:

  • Fill a shaker with lime juice and mint and muddle
  • Add ice
  • Add the Pineau des Charentes and raspberry syrup
  • Shake well until chilled
  • Place raspberries into chilled champagne flute
  • Strain shaker mixture into flute
  • Top with rosé sparkling wine

 

Pink Petals Pineau

Ingredients:

  • 2 oz Pineau des Charentes
  • 1 oz Empress elderflower rose gin
  • 0.5 oz fresh lemon juice
  • 1 oz St-Germain elderflower liqueur
  • 0.5 oz rosewater
  • 1 egg white (0.75 oz)
  • Dried edible rose petals for garnish

Instructions:

  • Chill a coupe glass in the freezer
  • In a shaker, combine Pineau des Charentes, gin, lemon juice, elderflower liqueur, rosewater, and egg white
  • Dry shake (no ice) vigorously for 30 seconds to create a creamy froth
  • Add ice and shake again until chilled
  • Strain through a fine mesh strainer into a coupe glass
  • Garnish with a few dried rose petals on top

 

 

Pineau Holiday Smash

Ingredients:

  • 1.5 oz Pineau des Charentes
  • 1.5 oz Insurrection Whiskey
  • 0.5 oz fresh lime juice
  • 1 oz cranberry juice (unsweetened preferred)
  • 0.5 oz mint simple syrup (see recipe above)
  • Fresh mint leaves for garnish
  • Lime twill for garnish
  • Ice

Instructions:

  • Fill a shaker with ice
  • Add the Pineau des Charentes, bourbon, lime juice, and mint simple syrup
  • Shake well until chilled
  • Strain into a rocks glass – large ice cube
  • Garnish with fresh mint leaves and a lime twill

 

 

Cranberry Pineau Sparkler

Ingredients:

  • 1.5 oz Pineau des Charentes
  • 1 oz cranberry juice (unsweetened preferred)
  • Solerno blood orange liqueur (can substitute Cointreau)
  • 3 oz dry sparkling wine
  • 1 rosemary sprig and a few fresh cranberries for garnish
  • Ice

Instructions:

  • Chill a Champagne flute and add cranberries
  • To a shaker add ice, Pineau des Charentes, cranberry juice, and Solerno blood orange liqueur
  • Stir gently until chilled
  • Pour into Champagne flute
  • Top with sparkling wine
  • Garnish with a sprig of rosemary

 

 

 

Pineau Tequila Sour

Ingredients:

  • 2 oz Pineau des Charentes
  • 1 oz LUNAZUL Tequila Resposado
  • 0.5 oz fresh lime juice
  • 0.5 oz fresh lemon juice
  • 1 oz simple syrup
  • 1 pasteurized egg white (0.75 oz)
  • Angustora bitters (garnish)

Instructions:

  • In a shaker (without ice), combine Pineau des Charentes, tequila, lime juice, simple syrup, and egg white
  • Dry shake vigorously for 30 seconds to build froth
  • Add ice to the shaker and shake again until chilled
  • Strain through fine mesh strainer into a coupe glass (don’t skip this step)
  • Garnish with a few drops of Angostura bitters, swirling them into a decorative pattern

 

 

Pineau Lavender Kiss

Ingredients:

  • 1.5 oz Pineau des Charentes
  • 1.5 oz Empress indigo gin
  • 1 oz lemon-lavender honey syrup
  • 0.5 oz fresh lime juice
  • 1 egg white (0.75 oz)
  • Edible blossoms for garnish

Instructions:

  • Chill a coupe glass in the freezer for a few minutes
  • In a dry shaker, combine Pineau des Charentes, Indigo Gin, lemon-lavender syrup, lime juice and egg white
  • Dry shake (no ice) vigorously for 30 seconds to create a creamy froth
  • Add ice and shake again until chilled
  • Strain through a fine mesh strainer into a coupe glass
  • Garnish with edible blossoms

 

 

Spiced Pineau Holiday Punch

Ingredients (Can be batched):

  • 2 oz Pineau des Charentes
  • 1 oz Domaine de Canton ginger liqueur
  • ½ oz Pernot
  • 2 oz cranberry juice
  • 1 oz apple cider
  • 2 dashes orange bitters
  • Cinnamon stick, star anise, and a few cranberries for garnish
  • Ice

Instructions:

  • Fill a shaker with ice
  • Add Pineau, ginger liqueur, cranberry juice, apple cider, and orange bitters
  • Shake well until chilled
  • Strain into rocks glass over large ice cube
  • Garnish with a cinnamon stick and dried blood orange
